High School Pre-Law Academy

 

The National Black Pre-Law Conference and Law Fair will host its first High School Pre-Law Academy in 2009.  On selected Saturdays, academy participants will be invited to attend special sessions.  All participants will be expected to attend all planned sessions at the academy and to also attend the National Black Pre-Law Conference.  During the academy, selected high school and college students will have the opportunity to learn more about:

* creating a strategic plan for their success

* making the most of the college experience

* how the law school admission process works

* what law school is like (will have the opportunity to brief cases, prepare for class, and take part in the Socratic method

* what the the bar exam is and why lawyers have to take it

* the different career optionsfor lawyers   . . and more!

Students will have the opportunity to meet law students and attorneys in a fun and open learning environment.  This program is completely free of charge to all high school student participants.  Students must APPLY to officially become a member of the academy.  Interested high school should sent an e-mail to info@blackprelawconference.com for an application.
