Directions to the University Hilton
From I-45 South, Exit Elgin/Cullen Boulevard. Turn left on Cullen and go to Wheeler. Make a left on Wheeler and follow to Entrance # 4. Turn Left and the parking garage is on your left.

From I-45 North, Exit Spur 5, follow to U H University Drive and make a right. Pass Calhoun and turn left after the Visitors’ Booth. Parking is on your right.

Conference attendees are free to choose any hotel in the Houston area that meets their needs. The costs for hotels in Houston varies, but there are many hotel chains that offer relatively inexpensive room rates.

However, there is a Hilton hotel on the campus of the University of Houston, University Park located right across the street from the University Center where the conference activities will take place.

 

DALLAS, TEXAS TOURISM

DIRECTIONS TO THE MAGNOLIA HOTEL DALLAS


From 35 south:  

  • 1. Exit Commerce.
  • 2. Take a left on Commerce.
  • 3. Travel one (1) mile.  The hotel is located on the left on Commerce, immediately after the Akard intersection.

From 75:

  • 1. Exit Live Oak.
  • 2. Follow Live Oak to Main St.
  • 3. Take a right on Main St.
  • 4. Proceed to take a left on Akard St., then an immediate left again on Commerce.
  • 5. Hotel will be on the immediate left, right after Starbuck’s.

From DFW Airport:

  • 1. Follow the signs to the “South Exit.”
  • 2. At the end of the parkway, fork to the left. The sign will indicate “Dallas Hwy 183.”
  • 3. HWY 183 is straight for six (6) miles, then it forks to the right at (Texas Stadium), and then merges with I-35E.
  • 4. Follow I-35E to downtown, exit Commerce Street East. (This is a spiral exit.)
  • 5. The Magnolia Hotel is ¾ a mile down Commerce.
  • 6. Turn into the valet on the left after the Akard intersection.

 


Parking Information

There is parking available at the Magnolia Hotel.  All you will need to do is drive up to the valet area and give your car key to the valet attendant in exchange for a ticket.  

Once you are ready to leave the hotel for the day, you will give the ticket to a front desk attendant who will stamp your ticket as paid.  You will then return the stamped ticket to the valet attendant who will bring you your car. 

The fee for parking is $10 if you are staying for the day (up to eight (8) hours) and $20 for an overnight stay.  You also have the option to park in other lots or spaces near the hotel in the downtown area.
